Nexi Vest is designed to be worn with a positive ease of approximately 0-5 cm at the bust (or the widest part of your upper body). The model in the picture measures 89 cm // 35” around the bust, is 159 cm tall, and is wearing a size S. The positive ease worn is therefore approx. 1 cm // ½ inch.

Gauge:
19 sts x 29 rows in garter stitch and stockinette = 10 x 10 cm on ndl 4 mm
Suggested needles:
Circular needles 4 mm / US 6 - 80 cm / 32”
Circular needles 3 mm/US 2.5 40 cm / 16” or double pointed needle 3 mm/US 2.5 for the neckline.
A crochet hook 3-4 mm // US size D-G6 for the ties
Procedure: Nexi Vest is worked in garter stitch starting from the bottom of the front piece and worked up over the shoulders and down the back, in one piece. First an I-cord is worked as a base for the front piece stitches. Then working in garter stitch you will continue on making decreases to shape the armholes and - if preferred - short rows to shape the bust area. The work is then divided into a left and right side to shape the neckline, then re-connected and garter stitch with decreases to shape the backside of the arm holes are worked. Finally an i-cord is created at the bottom of the top. Tie straps are crocheted and attached to the sides of the top.
